About

I am one of the many bloggers about Somali issues out there in cyberspace. I follow issues pertaining to women as I try to add my personal discoveries in Somali women scholarship. I basically gravitate towards social sciences but  I am also cognizant about the fact that we as Somali folks, dadyow,  need a specific lens to look at our own issues. My personal life history spans between two main periods: the one before the civil war which is about my childhood and adolescence which I call Somalia, vs. the period after the civil war out brake which I refer to “Somalia” because what  I have known is no longer there.
